the hunt was on. and what merely started as a 'something or someone cheer me up' sort of hunt, i found myself realizing how overwhelmingly blessed i am, once again. it took a different perspective -a 20mm to be exact, but i chose to see. i chose to steer my heart nearer to what i already know and will probably spend a lifetime trying to grasp..
grace.
tutoring Evan after school (we pretend Kindergarten - he LOVES this)
wagon rides in Pj's
friends who go the extra mile (quite literally) for a dinner date
random surprise kisses from Rach, and "mommy, you look beautiful" (while wearing a bathrobe)
a new stash of character building books (dealing with bullies, already)
stress ball (for my fidgeting)
Seamus's guilty dog expressions (he's been a naughty mutt)
Haagen Dazs (though it might kill me)
a fresh year with a fresh start and a life altering new book/study
the faces Nick makes and his precious pronunciations (must video soon)
a girl who always stops to smell the flowers (and picks them too)
a new, local Ma and Pa restaurant - unheard of for where we live (if you are local, you have to try this place!)
an awesome date night!
doodle books
Eucerin
walking to school
purdy chrysanthemums
adam's surprise for me - an anchor tattoo on his ring finger
a little girl who makes her bed (when i've never once asked her to)
cousins skimming the bible together (aka a cute photo op)
nick wielding a camera (and doing a decent job)
heart day is coming
the privilege that is laundry (you see that? all in the 'tude)
catching up with old girlfriends

i do hope you find the time to make a list today, and then focus on the One who graced you with such happy things/gifts/blessings. there is so much to see, and it might just change your perspective altogether.
Laundry as a privilege - good perspective!
